David Alaba and Eder Militao, Real Madrid’s first choice center-back duo, will be out injured for Tuesday night’s Champions League match against Napoli in Naples.
Due to the injury he sustained against Las Palmas last week, Alaba missed the league match against Girona on Saturday.
Alaba’s recovery appeared to have first given Carlo Ancelotti hope that he would make it to the European match in Naples.
Alaba, who was supposed to travel to Italy, did not, therefore Nacho will probably continue to play with Rudiger in the middle of the defense.
Militao had to have surgery earlier this season to repair his torn ACL, and he will have a tough time making a comeback before the season is out.
