MAX LIFESTYLE: Why do I feel horny during my period?

Date:

Women have periods every month with typical symptoms such as bloating, cramps, exhaustion, etc.

However, this time of the month can also cause women to have an irrational desire. When they are on their periods, many ladies would concur that they feel incredibly horny.

Have you ever considered the potential causes?

According to medical professionals, hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA cycle up and down throughout the menstrual cycle.

Your sex drive is significantly impacted by each of these hormones. A study conducted in 2013 explored the connection in a group of undergraduate women.

The hormone levels were tested throughout the course of two menstrual cycles, and the results were compared to the daily journals these women kept, which detailed their sexual behavior and sentiments of frivolity.

The researchers discovered that libido was significantly impacted by the fluctuating levels of estrogen and progesterone.

Estrogen levels decline at the start of your period cycle and begin to gradually increase by the second or third day.

This encourages desire and libido. On the other hand, progesterone is currently at a low level. It is therefore extremely likely that its absence will make you feel even more sexual.

If you’re wondering whether it could impact menstruation, we can assure you that it cannot. Sexual stimulation doesn’t really affect the days of your cycle too much because your hormones are shifting.

However, some women assert that having intercourse or masturbating while they are menstruation relieves their period cramps or pelvic pressure.

Your mood during periods may be affected by your sexual feelings. Both orgasm and sex are believed to reduce stress.

Additionally, you might unconsciously crave one or both of them during your menstrual cycle. Women may seek an orgasm to soothe their desires, while other times they yearn for a close relationship. It’s crucial that you pay attention to your body’s requirements and meet them.

Do your hormones account for all of your period horniness? No. Depending on how physically comfortable they feel, women may want sex more or less around that time of the month.

Some women find that having sex when they are bleeding and in pain is the last thing they want. Others find their relief in sexual activities.

While your fluctuating hormones do control your period days, whether or not you choose to engage in sexual activity is entirely up to you.

There is nothing wrong with you even if you don’t feel horny at all during this time of the month.
