MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Social media has made it easier for musicians not to pay payola – Strongman

Date:

Talented rapper Strongman says social media has made promotion of music easier as musicians no longer pay huge sums of money (payola) to Disc Jockeys (DJs) before their music get played.

He indicated that the advent of Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter had made positive impact in the lives of musicians to get their songs viral without stressing themselves.

The “Mokobe” hitmaker in a media interview said “all that you need is to get dancers to create new moves to match the song and you just sit within your comfort zone to see it go viral on Tiktok.”

He also said social media had created employment for the youth as each person’s expertise was put into use.

Known privately as Osei Kwaku Vincent, he is a Hip Hop and HipLife musician who is known widely for his punchlines in beef rap.
