MAX GPL UPDATES: Great Olympics interested in Awako return

Date:

Reports reaching max.com.gh can reveal Accra Great Olympics are very much interested in re-signing midfield maestro, Gladson Awako, from GPL rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.

In August 2021, the player’s agent, Yusif Chibsah, made the most-talked-about transfer announcement of the year by announcing the player’s move to the Phobians.

Despite all, the 2009 FIFA U20 winner is still adored by the club’s hierarchy and its supporters.

He is a favorite of former Black Galaxies coach Annor Walker, who returned to Great Olympics after departing for FC Samartex in the 2022–2023 season.

It was reported that Awako had been sacked by the club on Thursday morning, with the experienced midfielder publicly refuting all the claims and further affirming that he is still a Hearts of Oak player.

After nearly losing their premier league status in the 2022–2023 season, Great Olympics are planning to bring back the number 10 as they rebuild their team in preparation for the 2023–2024 season.
