In the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League qualifying matches, Ghanaian winger Bernard Tekpetey scored twice as the Bulgarian champions, Ludogorets, overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat FC Ballkani 4-0 at the Huvepharma Arena.
On Wednesday night, Ludogorets moved to the next round thanks to a 4-2 overall victory.
After connecting on a pass from Norwegian defender Aslak Fonn Witry, Tekpetey scored the game’s first goal as early as the fourth minute. He then doubled the lead for the home team just before halftime with his second goal of the evening.
Just a few minutes after halftime, Argentine attacker Matias Tissera added to Ludogorets’ score before substitute Caio Vidal put an end to the game in the 78th.
