In the opening bout of fight night 7 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Francis Aryee from the Palm Springs Gym faced Eric Ameshiokor in a lightweight contest. However, the fight came to an abrupt end in the second round when Aryee withdrew due to a dislocated shoulder.
Next up, Mohammed Fusseini from the Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation continued his unbeaten streak with a TKO victory over Alexander Kwakye from the Fit Square Gym in a super bantamweight contest.
The crowd at the arena was treated to an exciting exhibition contest between two young talents, Mohammed Ablorh and Prince Attoh.
In the fourth bout of the night, David Tagoe competed in a super flyweight contest against Moses Ayi Hammond. Tagoe swiftly ended Hammond’s challenge in the second round, and he claimed that it was the easiest bout he has ever fought.
A super featherweight contest followed, with Joseph Sackey from the Bridge Gym delivering a knockout victory against Prince Quaye from the Black Panthers Gym.
In a notable upset, Abdul Aziz Seidu from the Akotoku Gym scored a majority points decision over Bismark Saah from the Ghana Armed Forces after six rounds. This marked the first defeat of the season for the Ghana Armed Forces team.
