MAX GPL: Agyemang-Badu was selective with matches – Great Olympics

Date:

Accra Great Olympics’ communication director, Saint Osei, revealed, in an exclusive interview on Max 89.7 FM, that Black Stars legend Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu’s choosy nature for league matches caused mayhem during his stay with the ‘Dade Boys.

In February this year, the player made a shocking decision to leave the wonder club, saying, “Oloboi Commodore, the CEO, is the one behind my reason to quit the club. The decision by the coach to keep me playing cost him his job, and this has been confirmed by four members of the technical team.”

However, speaking to Max 89.7 FM, Seth Saint Osei disclosed that the former Udinese player picked the matches he wanted to play: “Agyeman-Badu was picking and choosing the matches he wanted to play.” Agyemang-Badu chose to play Kotoko because it is a big club.

He further added that there was a player revolt in the team due to the U-20 FIFA World Cup winner’s attitude: “There was a player revolt because he was picking and choosing the matches he wanted to play.”

“Let him damage my image,” replied Agyemang-Badu when contacted to respond to the Communication Director’s explanation live on “The Sports Pack” show.
