MTN FA Cup Round of 16: Dreams FC beat Liberty Professionals 3-0

Date:

On February 25, 2023, at The Theatre of Dreams in Dawu, Dreams FC defeated Division One team Liberty Professionals with a score of 3-0 to advance to the MTN FA Cup quarterfinals.

The Still Believe carried over their Premier League form into the FA Cup and had enough talent to defeat a Liberty team that was ranked fifth in the Zone 3 League standings.

On minute 13, Gael Aholou scored with a goal to put Dreams ahead early.

After his shot hit the post and was diverted into the net, Daniel Adade increased their lead four minutes later.

Liberty had no chance to score before halftime because to Ibrahim’s excellent defending.

During the break, Agbasi produced some outstanding stops in goal to keep Dreams’ two-goal lead.

Ali Huzaif capitalized on Liberty’s defensive error to give Zito’s team a 3-0 lead. As the home team missed some chances to score in the second half, it could have been worse for Liberty.

The Still Believe will now wait to find out who their rivals in the following round of the competition will be.
