Date:

UK based Ghanaian musician General Marcus has revealed he spent about GBP15,000 to produce and promote an album that which left him disappointed.

The revelation came on Max TV’s prime morning show, Max Morning with Babiee Dapaah and Alex Crassie.

General Marcus is regarded by many as the original propagator of the Reggae-Dancehall genre on the Ghanaian and African scenes and the introduction of his album Shidaa was just an emphasis of that.

Speaking about how his album couldn’t made a lasting impact as he would have wanted, it would have been thought of that he didn’t do the needed promotion to push it.

It’s in this regard that the General lets out of the bag that, he spent a whooping amount of GBP15,000 in the production and promotion of his album.

Also revealing he recorded in one of the finest music studios in the world where the likes of Luciano and others had recorded, as well as footing bills for Jamaican artistes that represented on the album.

“I made a lot of money working as an Assistant Engineer and the money I made, I invested about GBP15’000 in my album but I was disappointed at the end”.
