CAF Confederation Cup: Hearts of Oak apologises to fans after Real Bamako defeat

Date:

After losing 3-0 to Real Bamako of Mali in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup, Accra Hearts of Oak have apologized to their supporters.

The Malian champions trounced Hearts of Oak by a score of three, gaining a commanding lead ahead of the return leg on October 15, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In the eleventh minute, AS Bamako scored their first goal from a free kick after Ofori Antwi failed to control the ball.

After Denis Korsah scored an own goal in the 30th minute, Real Bamako increased the score to 2-0.

Mohammed Alhassan and Barnieh were extremely unlucky as Hearts of Oak, who appeared to be in severe need, went in search of a goal.

The defending FA Cup champions from Ghana improved their play in the second half, but Hearts of Oak’s defense let them score their third goal in the 74th minute.

The Phobians expressed their regret to the fans in a post.
