Ga Mantse Cup: Hearts of Oak write to organizers to postpone match against Great Olympics

Date:

The Ga Mantse Cup match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics has been requested to be postponed.

On Sunday, August 7, 2022, the game was slated to begin at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to media sources, Hearts of Oak’s management requested in writing that the match be postponed so that the squad may finish its preseason practice.

Hearts of Oak started training again last week, but club insiders say they won’t be able to participate in Sunday’s high-profile friendly versus City rival Great Olympics.

“We received a letter from Hearts of Oak stating that the team is not ready to honor the game on Sunday because their team isn’t ready and they just started preseason.”

“They want the game to be played on August 28. We are yet to meet the stakeholders and see the way forward”, William Ezear of Primeval Consult confirmed the game will be postponed
