Samuel Inkoom: Hearts of Oak will win the CAF Confederations Cup.

Date:

Right back for Hearts of Oak, Samuel Inkoom, has proposed a plan for how the team might capture the 2022–23 CAF Confederations Cup.

The Phobians, who had a terrible season in the just-concluded 2021–2022 Ghana Premier League (GPL), will represent the nation in Africa the following year.

Hearts of Oak, who had 48 points and placed sixth, won the FA Cup by defeating Bechem United to retain their title.

The playing body will need to put in a lot of effort and have high quality to grab the trophy, in Inkoom’s opinion, after failing to go past the group stage in both the Champions League and Confederations previous season.

“For us to win the trophy, we need intensive preparation for the CAF Confederations Cup,” he said on an Accra-Based radio station.

“The likes of Al Ahly and other clubs are spending to buy quality players. They have the best facilities because they want to win.

“Spending is not an issue for them because they know they reap the results and that is what Hearts of Oak must also do.

“We have won the FA Cup but for us to make an impact and win the trophy, good preparation and bringing in quality players will do the magic,” he added.

Before the start of the second round of the season, Samuel Inkoom, a member of the Black Stars team that competed in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, signed a short-term contract with the team.
