Date:

After being relegated from the Ghana Premier League (GPL) , Eleven Wonders will play in the Division One League next season.

Despite defeating Aduana Stars at home on the final day of the local top division, their relegation was confirmed on Sunday.

The Techiman-based club won 2-1 over Aduana Stars to end the 2021/222 domestic top-flight season, but it wasn’t enough to keep the club from relegation.

Michael Yeboah gave the home team the lead in the 18th minute, and they had to go to recces with a one-goal advantage.

Wonders, who were desperate to avoid relegation, scored their second goal of the game in the 62nd minute to make it 2-0.

The Aduana Stars, who had lost their previous three league matches, rallied back to score a consolation goal in the 79th minute to make the score 2-1 at the end of the game.

In the recently concluded season, the Wonders finished 16th with 40 points.
