A 45-year-old Kumasi-based content creator has been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command.

The suspect, Isaac Boafo, was arrested for the offence of publishing and circulating false reports.

Boafo alleged on TikTok that four police officers at the Central Police Station in Kumasi had engaged in illicit affairs with sex workers during night patrol duties at Asafo, Kumasi.

According to the police, Boafo admitted he published the content for views and engagement while failing to substantiate his outrageous claims.

He was also unable to defend comments made about the President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama. He has been charged and detained for further investigations.
