Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic must count themselves fortunate not to concede only seven goals to Dortmund on Tuesday night at the Signa Iduna Park.
Having won their last nine games since the start of the 2024-25 season, Celtic went into the matchday two clash against Dortmund in excellent form.
However, within seven minutes into the game, former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can gave the Germans the lead before Japanese international Maeda equalized for Celtic.
It wasn’t long before Kerem Adeyemi completed his hat-trick after Serhou Guirassy scored the host’s fourth goal of the night before half-time.
Guirassy scored once more for a brace, with Felix Nmecha completing the rout in the 79th minute, as they take on defending champions Real Madrid next in a repeat of last season’s final.
