Former Ghana international Yaw Preko has weighed in on the Black Stars’ chances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Ghana Black Stars have been grouped in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama.
With dreading matchups against European giants England and Croatia, Yaw Preko expressed belief in Ghana’s ability to win on Max FM’s Sports Pack.
“I believe we have what it takes to qualify if only we do things right. The Europeans’ style of play is easy to read, but we can’t underrate Panama,” he said.
He advised players such as Kwasi Sibo, struggling for playing time at their respective clubs, to look for moves away in order to retain their spots in the Black Stars for the World Cup.
The former national team coach further cautioned the technical team of the Black Stars to watch out for players hiding injuries, which in turn may hamper Ghana’s chances.
