Talented Ghanaian female artists Wendy Shay, Amaarae and Moliy have bagged nominations at the prestigious All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The trio will compete in the Best Female Artist in Western Africa category and will face stiff competition from regional heavyweights, including Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Avra Starr, as well as Senegalese stars Viviane Chidid and Max Gussé.
Amaarae secured her spot with the acclaimed track “S.M.O”, while Wendy Shay was recognised for her chart-topping single “Too Late”, with Moliy receiving a nomination for “Shake It To The Max”, a collaboration with Shenseea, Skillibena, and Silent Addy.
AFRIMA was established to celebrate excellence in African music, and it aims to unite artists from across the continent annually.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place later this year.
