We Prepare For Africa Today— Ibrahim Tanko

Date:

Revelling in Medeama SC’s historic second title celebration, head coach Ibrahim Tanko, reveals that the focus has been shifted to preparation for the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.

Medeama is eager for a higher finish compared to their maiden campaign in the continental competition this time around.

Ibrahim Tanko, after finally fending off competition to win his maiden league title as a coach, stated, “Preparation for the new season, especially the continental campaign, begins immediately.

“We have to plan our Champions League, so definitely we have to start preparing from now. There is no time. There’s the World Cup that will give us free time, so we will prepare very well to do better in Africa,” he said in his post-match reaction.

Medeama walloped Heart of Lions 5-2 at the TNA Stadium last Sunday to clinch the title with a game to spare.
