Crystal Palace are looking to replace Jordan Ayew with Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah for a fee around £30 million.
With Marseille also very much interested in the English-born star, the Londoners are eager to reach an agreement with the Gunners before the summer transfer window closes.
The manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, though not desperate, insisted Nketiah was welcome to stay at the club despite clubs circling around the striker.
The Eagles are short of a striker following Jordan Ayew’s £8 million move to join Fatawu Issahaku at Leicester City.
Nketiah, who has scored 38 times in 168 matches for Arsenal is believed to be in favour of remaining in London.
