In the CAF Women's Champions League
final, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies easily
defeated Sporting Club Casablanca 3-0 to reclaim their title as African
champions.
Boitumelo Rabale's goal and Refilwe Tholakele's brace were sufficient as the
South African powerhouses won the
championship again.
After losing to AS FAR in the
championship game the previous year,
Sundowns entered the competition hoping to win it twice.
They had defeated the Hasaacas Ladies ofGhana to become the inaugural winners of the competition.
Tholakele scored from the spot in the
game's 21st minute to give Sundowns a
strong early lead.
