Sundowns aims at impressing at FIFA Club World Cup

Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ronwen Williams has expressed confidence of his club progressing from the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Premier Soccer League champions would begin their campaign against South Korean side Ulsan HD at the Inter&Co Stadium on Tuesday, June 17.

“We want to play our football and we believe that we’ve got enough to get out of the group and that’d be huge because when you look at the names in that group, it’s big names in there, Williams said.

It will be tough, but we believe we will get out of it and show people who Mamelodi Sundowns are,” the South African goalkeeper added.

Though losing the CAF Champions League final to Pyramids FC, Sundowns are determined to make their presence felt in the United States of America.

Sundowns will take on Ulsan HD, Borussia Dortmund, and Fluminense in Group F of the competition.
