Atletico Madrid gaffer Diego Simeone has insisted that Real Madrid’s most bitter rivals, FC Barcelona is the best club in Spain.
According to Simeone, whose side drew 1-1 with Real Madrid in the Madrid derby on Saturday night, Barcelona have incredible players than his city rivals.
“I still insist that Barcelona is the best team in La Liga”.
“They attack very well, they have incredible speed in their players, and they play very well as a team,” Simeone said after the game at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Many have laid into Real Madrid for their excessive complaints of the penalty awarded against them in favor of Atletico, especially when ten has gone for them so far this season.
Dropped points means FC Barcelona are five points adrift of Real Madrid, who sit on top of the 2024-25 La Liga standings with 50 points, closely chased by Atletico on 49 points.
