A senior media officer of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Alhaji Ibrahim Saani Daara, has cautioned Ghana’s Sports Minister over his remarks on Otto Addo.
Hon. Kofi Adams, Sports and Recreation Minister, has in recent times been “overly” critical of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, an approach which has not impressed the top hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association.
The minister’s words certainly left a lot of football people concerned and unhappy. Saani Daara, as one, cautioned him about his opinions and called on him to limit his media interviews.
“The minister must be careful about what he says about Otto Addo. I will beseech the minister to limit his radio interviews. The talk is too much now. He is opening doors for people to criticise him,” said Saani Daara on Max FM’s Sports Pack.
He further advised the minister to heed good counsel and be wary of the ill advices, which may land him in trouble in the near future, while ensuring a good working relationship with the GFA.
“He must ensure a good working relationship with the FA and stay out of the matters involving the players and technical team,” he continued.
