A five-member committee has been tasked to search and recommend the next head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana.
Following the shambolic performances of the Black Stars under the leadership of former head coach Carlos Queiroz, the minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, announced the committee on Friday, October 2, 2025.
They include experienced football administrator Fred Pappoe as chair, with other members comprising Anthony Baffoe, Stephen Appiah, Abdul Faisal Chibsah, and Agbesi Dzakpasu, Esq.
Anthony Baffoe and Stephen Appiah were captains of the Black Stars of Ghana in different generations—the former leading Ghana to the 1992 AFCON Silver, and the latter to Ghana’s first-ever FIFA World Cup in 2006.
