The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Okai Kwei North, Christian Tetteh Bargia, has assured Muslim residents that significant infrastructure development will be underway in their communities by this time next year.
Delivering a keynote address on Max TV at the Eid al-Fitr prayer grounds on Friday, 20th March 2026, the MCE met with members of the Muslim community.” He revealed that plans are in place to put up a concrete structure to improve better Eid al-Fitr praying grounds.
According to Christian Tetteh Bargia, the initiative forms part of a broader development agenda aimed at modernising the municipality and ensuring safer, more resilient praying grounds for residents.
“By this time next year, concrete blocks will be visible across parts of Okai Kwei North. We are committed to improving infrastructure and creating a better environment for our people,” he assured.
He emphasised that the project would particularly benefit Muslim communities that have long called for improved structures, especially in areas used for worship purposes.
Residents who attended the Eid fitr expressed appreciation for the assurance, noting that such a development would greatly enhance safety and community well-being.
The promise by Christian Tetteh Bargia comes at a time when many communities within the municipality are seeking improved infrastructure to match the area’s expectations.
The MCE further called for strength and protection from God for the residents and all departed souls and cooperation as the assembly works to mobilise resources and implement the project within the stated timeframe.
