French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais have secured passage to the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League.
The former Ligue 1 champions delivered a commanding comeback win over Sparta Praha.
Praha came into the second leg of the third round of qualification with a first leg 2-1 victory.
Things became difficult for Praha after going a man down, minutes into the second leg.
Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah tapped home the opener after 20 minutes, bringing Lyon level on aggregate.
England international Ainsley Maitland-Niles doubled Lyon’s lead before Tyler Morton sealed the deserved win for Lyon.
The win sends Lyon to the group phase of the UEFA Champions League.
