‎Nollywood is full of diabolism—Hanks Anuku

Date:

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed that colleagues who are jealous of his success result in diabolical means to severely damage his career.

‎According to him, they spread false information about him, leading to a decline in job opportunities.

‎Speaking on the Nollywood Hardcore podcast on March 23, the famous actor ‎lamented that he was blackmailed and the act severely affected his career and left him traumatized.

‎”In the industry, some people were diabolical, envious, and jealous of my shine. I was blackmailed, and I don’t know what I did to them. That set me back for a couple of years,” he said.

‎The 64 year old actor stated that his enemies used a clip taken from a movie set to drag him down.

‎”Claiming I was mad, sick, and all sorts of lies. I was knocked out for years without a job. Directors and others in the industry backbit me and talked about things I knew nothing about,” he lamented.

‎Left to his fate, Anuku said he travelled to Ghana to campaign for the former president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo during the elections and worked in Ghana for several years before returning to Nigeria.
