AC Milan have usurped defending Italian Serie A champions Napoli at the top of the league table.
The two giants of Italy clashed on Sunday night at the San Siro Stadium.
“Captain America” Christian Pulisic inspired Milan to a 2-1 victory over the Napolitans.
The former Chelsea and Dortmund winger set up Alexis Saelemaekers for a perfect start in the third minute.
With Napoli visibly stunned by going behind that early in the game, Milan controlled the pace and extended their lead through Pulisic in the 31st minute.
Former Brighton left-back Estupiñan was shown a red card for a foul, which led to Kevin De Bruyne pulling one back for Napoli from the penalty spot in the 57th minute.
Gasperini appears to be working wonders with AS Roma, as they remain at par with Milan and Napoli in the top three of the Serie A table.
Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas’ Como were held at home by US Cremonese to a 1-1 draw, with Nico Paz keeping up his good form.
Inter Milan under Christian Chivu enjoyed a 0-2 away win over Cagliari. Lautaro Martinez and Esposito netted the goals for the Nerazzurri.
Ghanaian international Kamaldeen Sulemana’s superb goal for Atalanta was cancelled out by Cabal, as Juventus survived at home.
