Veteran movie actoricky Adelayitar has charged media houses to do something special for old actors when invited for interviews for them to feel appreciated and recognised for their jobs.
Accordingto him, the least the least is done to recognise the veterans for them to gain the needed acknowledgement in the industry.
Speaking exclusively with the Max Max Morning Show in Accra on Friday, the renowned actor explained that they had not received their flower in the industry.
“Let me ask Ghanaians, are you appreciating us? No! You are not appreciating us enough,” he stated.
Ricky Adelayitar further blamed the media for doing nothing to even recognise veterans in the country.
“Let me blame all the media houses, television stations and radio alike because they are doing nothing to even appreciate us. The last time I went to a certain TV station, they were now thinking about how they would serve me.”
“Give us some nice treatment; we make you happy, we give you wisdom, and we entertain and advise you through our acting, so when you invite us to your set, please give us some nice treatment so that when we go back to our homes, we can say, ‘Yes, these people have really given us that respect and recognition,'” he said.
