MAX LIFESTYLE: Two nabbed by police for stealing pastor’s pigs

Date:

The Trede Police in the Ashanti Region has two people in prison after they are accused of robbing a pastor of two pigs.

A radio station in Accra said that the incident took place on Friday, September 1, 2023.

The pastor claims that after learning that two of his pigs had been taken, he also learned that someone had killed a pig in an unfinished structure.

“On Sunday morning, we found out that two of the pigs and gone missing. We mounted a search for them to no avail. Through Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we searched all over the place for the pigs.

“I went to an information centre in my area to announce it. Later in the day some people came to inform me that some individuals had killed a pig and were sharing the meat. We went with the police and saw six people sharing the meat in an uncompleted building,” he said.

The pastor claims that the suspects’ families have contacted him in an effort to find a peaceful resolution.

Each pig is worth, in his estimation, GHC6,000.

However, his wife insisted that the pigs be valued at GHC 10,000.
