A multiple-award-winning highlife musician, Kuami Eugene, has expressed dissatisfaction about the behavior of music duo Keche after the release of “No Dulling.”
He disclosed that the duo has failed to acknowledge him for his contributions to the success of the 2020 hit track, which featured him.
Kuami Eugene said in an interview that he wrote portions of that track and has not received any royalty.
“I wrote the hook and the chorus, but they said a lot, especially the tall one; he was making it look like I did not help with the song. It hurts when you openly receive someone and they turn against you, making it look like they did everything all by themselves,” he lamented.
The rock star said Keche had made money from the smash hit but failed to acknowledge his input.
“They are aware they are making money from the song, but I’m yet to receive any royalties from them. They are my elders in the game; the song has made waves,” he added.
Kuami Eugene noted that the act was prevalent in the industry and cited how he had to involve a lawyer just to get his percentage of the song he wrote for a colleague, Mr. Drew, before he did the needful.
