Kofi Adams, Kurt Okraku encourage Black Stars; Jordan Ayew apologizes

Date:

Hon. Kofi Adams and Kurt Okraku have presented a united front as they met with the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

With more of the invited players joining the team on Tuesday, March 18, to train at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has in recent times had positive engagement with the minister for sports and recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, on addressing the declining state of football in Ghana.

Hon. Kofi Adams encouraged the players to forget the failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and know that President John Mahama is fully behind them to ensure their success in the World Cup qualifiers.

Jordan Ayew, captain, appreciated the sports minister for his kind words and apologised on behalf of his teammates for their woeful performance during the AFCON qualifiers.

The Black Stars will welcome Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, before flying out to Morocco to take on Madagascar on Monday, March 24.
