Kim proud of the Black Queens despite defeat to Morocco

Date:

Kim Lars Björkegren first game for as head coach of the Black Queens of Ghana ends in a defeat to Morocco.

The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco hosted the Black Queens in an international friendly match in Casablanca.

Ghana looked sharp but failed to make use of their chances, especially early in the game.

The Lionesses scored their winning goal through Saoud Imane who took full advantage of a defensive mixup.

“I am really proud of the girls. They worked hard. There hadn’t been many trainings together. The focus has been to work as a group. To be more organised…overall I am happy for the girls,” Kim said following the game.

The game proved to be a great test match for the new coach to assess his team ahead of their next friendly against AS FAR Rabat on Monday, February 24, 2025.
