‎I was heavily criticized for featuring Sarkodie— Herty Borngreat

Date:

Gospel Songstress Herty Borngreat has disclosed that the public condemned, bullied, and criticized her for featuring secular rapper Sarkodie in her mega-hit song “Bebree.”

The track, which was produced by Kaywa, was released in 2013 on her Take Them to Church album.

‎Speaking exclusively with Max Drive on Max FM in Accra on Wednesday, Herty Borngreat indicated that the public was surprised at the beginning when they heard the song.

‎She indicated that she was bullied, but later God made them understand the substance of the song to even sing it in church.

‎”If you want to follow God and worship him in honesty, it’s very difficult to please humans. Unless you want to please humans instead, but for me, no matter what it is, I try as much as possible to ensure I have a good relationship with my maker.

‎With time God himself opened the minds of the people to understand the song, and now lots of people are singing it in churches. Meanwhile, the song was initially criticized by the public,” she said‎.
