Otto Addo is on the brink of achieving an unprecedented feat in the history of Ghanaian football.
The former Black Stars player is set to become the first-ever coach to qualify the team for two consecutive FIFA World Cup finals.
Despite his enviable success, many are still unconvinced by his tactical acumen, especially after he failed to qualify Ghana for the 2025 AFCON.
Regardless of all these, Otto Addo, humble in his opinion, opts to not rest on his past laurels but to focus on what is ahead.
“I don’t dwell on the past too much.” We have to think about tomorrow. We have to win this game, and we’ll see… We need to think far. I don’t think too much of myself. It’s about the team,” said Otto Addo.
The Black Stars will take on the Central African Republic in the penultimate round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers today in Meknes, Morocco, at 16:00 GMT.
