GPL Week 25 : Liberty Professionals share spoils with Kotoko

Date:

Liberty Professionals held Kotoko to a 1-1 draw in a week 25 game in the Ghana Premier League.

The game was played at the Red Bull Arena at Sogakope.

Kotoko started poorly as Liberty Professionals dominated the opening exchanges.

Liberty took the lead in the 35 minute as former Kotoko player Evans Owusu surprised goalkeeper Razak Abalora from over 30 yards.

The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Liberty Professionals.

After the recess, Kotoko introduced Sarfo Taylor and Samuel Frimpong into the game but it was Ismail Ganiu that got them the goal.

The defender rose highest to power a header in to make it 1-1.

The draw keeps Kotoko at the summit of the league table with 44 points.
