Bibiani Gold Stars have won the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League (GPL), four years since qualifying for the top football division in the country.
The season has been the most eventful in recent years, as four teams including, Bibiani Gold Stars, Nations FC, Asante Kotoko, and Kpando Heart of Lions, were in a tight competition.
Following their incredible 2-3 away win over Berekum Chelsea, while their closest contenders, Nations FC, abandoned their match against Basake Holy Stars over controversial circumstances in the penultimate round of the league, Gold Stars defeated already relegated Accra Lions at Dun’s Park for the title.
Abdul Faroul Amoaful, Kelvin Oppong, and Samuel Atta Kumi scored all three goals for the glorious Miners to send the town natives into a state of ecstasy, securing their first ever GPL trophy.
