Inmates in the various prisons across Ghana are set to enjoy a bump in their feeding, according to Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak.

The interior minister, Hon. Muntaka, made this revelation at the Public Accounts Committee sitting on Tuesday, September 30.

The feeding fee is set to be increased from GH¢1.80 to GH¢5.00 to enable the Ghana Prisons Service to provide nutritious meals to inmates.

This will be part of the 2026 budget.
