Popular Kumawood Movie Director, Frank Fiifi Garbin has described colleague, Fiifi Coleman as a failed filmmaker.
According to him, Fiifi Coleman couldn’t succumb to the pressures that came with the movie producing and directing.
He said the actor swiftly diverted his attention to theatre and stage performance in order to make money that he couldn’t get from film making.
His statement followed the speech made by Fiifi Coleman that Kumawood did not collapse as a result of “dumsor” but as a result of one way storylines.
Speaking exclusively with Max TV on e-Quick last Friday, Fiifi Garbin said Coleman was just a disappointed movie maker.
He said the Ghana movie industry as a whole had been facing challenges from movie distributions to inadequate streaming apps and insufficient cinemas.
Producers, Garbin said were running lost due to the aforementioned challenges, thus, Fiifi Coleman switched to theatre and stage performance with the help of sponsors.
“The pressure and heat in film making is massive. Was Fiifi Coleman able to survive the heat? The moment he saw that film making was hot, he quickly ran to theatre performances. The industry as a whole is facing a problem. Is Fiifi Coleman saying if there’s enough cinemas across the country, he won’t nicodemously go back to filmmaking?” He queried
