The Black Princesses of Ghana held the Mexico U-20 female side to a goalless draw in an international friendly in Bogotoa, Colombia.
Yusif Basigi’s Princesses, ahead of their commencement of their campaign at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup on September 2, took on the Mexicans to intensify their preparations.
Ghana’s first attempt at goal came midway through Salamtu Abdullai after the Northern Ladies goalkeeper, after Afi Amenyeku had to react quick to a Mexican chance in the 9th minute, as chances for both sides were few in the first half.
Though captain of the Black Princess, Stella Nyamekye, twice came close to scoring, the game ended goalless as both sides fine-tuned themselves ahead of the global showpiece when it kicks off on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
