Three African countries have been eliminated from the ongoing 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup tournament in Poland.

The three African countries are Tanzania, Ghana, and the Benin Republic.

They all finished in bottom place with the lowest points in their respective groups.

This follows the conclusion of the final group-stage fixtures played over the weekend.

Nigeria is the only team from Africa that made it through the group stage.

The Falconets thrashed New Caledonia 10-1 to finish second in Group F with four points.

Nigeria will now face England in the Round of 16 fixture on Thursday for a place in the quarter-final stage.
