Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Palmeiras for the signature of Brazilian prodigy Estêvão Willian Almeida de Oliveira Gonçalves, known as Messinho or Estêvão.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues’ bid for the youngster is around €32 million plus add-ons.
The signing of Willian will mean a number of the current Chelsea stars will be booted out of the club, as they need to sell some homegrown players in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
Nicknamed Messinho due to his similar playing style to Lionel Messi, the 17-year-old has scored seven goals in his eighteen appearances with Palmeiras.
Despite having agreed personal terms with the London-based side, the Brazilian Serie A side is yet to settle on a transfer fee. Once this is done, he will join the Premier League side in January 2025.
