Hohoe United Football Club(HUFC) will host Okwawu United FC in an epic showdown in a top-of-the-table clash at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday, 2nd of March 2025, in the Access Bank Division One Zone Three league.
League leaders Hohoe United will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways in this fixture after their last two weekends defeat away to Port City in the league in order to maintain a healthy lead at the summit of the league log.
A win for the Hohoe base team will further boost their chances in their quest to qualify for next season’s Ghana Premier League.
Okwawu United, on the other hand, will be motivated to go for all three maximum points at stake in order to close the gap on Hohoe United to two points.
One thing that fans of both teams are assured of on the day will be the tactical battle between the two head coaches of both teams: coach Alfred Nelson of Hohoe United against coach Sulley Adamu of Okwawu United.
Both coaches normally set out their respective teams to play in a 4-3-3 formation with variations of 4-4-2.
The philosophy and approach of both coaches will be very crucial in this encounter as any of the two teams that will lose on Sunday will feel the ramifications of this game come the end of the season.
Players to look out for on the day will be the likes of Faruk Cisse Mohammed of Hohoe United, who is the current top scorer of zone three with nine goals, as well as Okwawu United’s versatile player Sampson Odametten.
