BROTHERS: Tonight (WEDNESDAY 23 RD) On Episode 133

Date:

“You won’t believe this. Tomas Tuazon is a drug lord. He’s here right now with his business partners. They’re in the middle of a huge sale! Hundreds of kilos of drugs! Keep this matter a secret from Joaquin. We don’t want him to warn his dad.”

Tomas discusses with Don Emilio the deal he’s made with Mr. Huang, the Chinese businessman, claiming that he’s 5 steps ahead of the country’s fight against drugs. The insufferable man even boasts of having the capability of building a meth lab underneath a police station.

Pinggoy questions Alyana about her feelings for Cardo but she flat out denies it.

Makmak beats Trixie to win the inter-grade spelling bee contest, and he goes on to give a speech about his father and adoptive parents.

After the family congratulates him, Cardo lectures him on the lies he had told at school, asking him to accept everything about himself and focus on his studies for his future and his father. As Teddy has a talk with his daughter, he notices someone watching them and proceeds to harass him, until Alyana reveals that the guy’s their company driver.

Billy reveals to his mother about the riding in tandem syndicate not being responsible for Carmen’s death. He then mentions the witness who had identified Tomas as the actual killer of Carmen. Nora recalls how Carmen had sounded uneasy the last time they had spoken to her.

“I felt that Carmen was terrified,” Nora states. “Could the witness be telling the truth? If it was Tomas, why did he kill Carmen?”

Junior walks in just then to greet his uncle and Ryan follows, asking what he’s doing there. Silently, Nora signals Billy not to reveal the truth of the matter and he follows suit. Upon arriving back at camp Crame, Billy calls Cardo to inform him of how Carmen had sounded scared in the last few days leading to her death.

Meanwhile, Cardo tails and spies on Tomas as he has dinner with some clients of his, wondering if it’s just a normal business meeting. In school, Denden apologizes to Makmak and offers a hand of friendship.

JP asks Lorraine to come watch their upcoming game against another school.

BROTHERS

Lorraine asks why he’d need her to watch it when it’s evident that he’s a good player and JP says he still needs some inspiration, adding that it’s great playing when a pretty girl is watching. Coming upon the scene, Mitch makes it her mission to discourage Lorraine from watching the game. <<FF>> The home team is down by 2 points with a few seconds left to spare. Upon seeing Lorraine, JP makes a basket that seals their win against the visitors.

After celebrating, JP runs over to Lorraine.

“Nice shot,” Lorraine says with a smile. “Congrats, JP.”

“That was for you. Thank you so much.”

“For what?”

“For coming.”

Mitch looks on as they exchange smiles.

Cardo tails Tomas to his restaurant and Tomas blindsides him, asking why he’s there. Cardo claims that he just wants to eat. After a few exchange of words, Tomas asks Cardo what he wants.

“You know exactly what I want,” Cardo states. “I want to uncover the truth.”

Arriving back home, Tomas considers facing the witness in order to prove that the guy is a fake. Don Emilio asks him what he’ll do if the witness can prove his statement. Tomas however insists the guy is a fake and he vows to find out who had orchestrated the entire thing. Joaquin offers to make the witness disappear but Tomas disapproves the idea, not wanting to raise any further suspicion.

Billy brings his mother to camp Crame, only to find that the witness hasn’t shown up. Tomas soon arrives with his lawyer and proceeds to taunt Cardo some more. Soon enough, Ramirez, the investigating prosecutor rubbishes the case against Tomas. Nora makes a futile attempt to reason with the prosecutor and as Tomas goes on with his innocent act, Billy eyes him with contempt.

Later, Cardo apologizes to Nora and vows not to stop until Carmen gets the justice she deserves. And wouldn’t you just know it? Prosecutor Ramirez turns out to be another rotten official as Joaquin the jackass pays h 7im off for his service.

Staring at a portrait of Carmen, Cardo apologizes for failing her and promises to get justice for her. Meanwhile, Tomas finalizes his deal with Mr. Huang, promising to deliver his products tomorrow evening. With his first sabotage plan taking too long to bear fruit, Don Emilio cooks up a surprise attack to get rid of Tomas for good so he could start a new life with Verna and Joaquin.

Don Emilio meets up with Allan De la Paz, a.k.a the witness who had seen Tomas kill Carmen. The guy turns out to be a fake as a series of flashbacks reveal how Don Emilio had orchestrated the entire thing. Presently, Don Emilio pays off Allan who promises not to betray him. However, Emilio guns him down mercilessly. Back home, Verna goes on hallucinating about Rachel.

Tomas makes ready to meet up with Mr. Huang and Don Emilio insists on going with him. After having loaded the coffins, Emilio fakes some chest pains on their way over to the rendezvous point and Tomas asks Joaquin to take him to the hospital. Once alone, Emilio calls someone and gives him the go-ahead to execute his plan.

Cardo receives an anonymous phone call. “Hello?”

“SP02 Ricardo Dalisay.”

“Who is this?”

“Go to the shipyard at the Manila port area. That’s where you’ll see what kind of man Tomas Tuazon really is.”

The line drops dead and without wasting time, Cardo sets out to the location, hell-bent on doing anything to get justice for Carmen and Ador. Upon arriving at the shipyard, Cardo takes out some goons and surveys the area.

Arriving at the rendezvous point, Tomas calls Mr. Huang to notify him about the arrival of his special order. A moment later, Mr. Huang arrives and asks for his order, and on Tomas’ signal, Froilan orders for the coffins to be opened, revealing the tons of drugs inside.

Cardo looks on in disbelief and soon receives a phone call from his grandpa, asking where he is. “I’m here at Chantel Cargo Incorporated. It’s at the port area. Someone told me I’d find Tomas Tuazon here.”

“So is he there?” Delfin asks.

“You won’t believe this,” Cardo begins. “Tomas Tuazon…is a drug lord. He’s here right now with his business partners. They’re in the middle of a huge sale! Hundreds of kilos of drugs!”

“Alright. I’ll send some men immediately.”

“Keep this matter a secret from Joaquin. We don’t want him to warn his dad.”
