“We’ll just keep following him. For sure, Tomas will lead us to his chemist. And we’ll get the formula for white magic, while Joaquin will lead us to our precious Jade. We’ll hit two birds with one stone. I will kill her. Alone.”
Mr. Romeo Maglipon arrives at CIDG headquarters and much to Cardo’s disbelief, he starts making a scene, demanding that Martha not drag his name into her mess. He calls her out as thoughtless and selfish. Martha laments over Romeo’s despicable qualities as a father, bringing up how he had abandoned her from childhood and never treated her like a daughter. Miserable swine leaves in shame and Cardo comforts Martha.
Cardo is deadset on reuniting Analynne with her family no matter what. Meanwhile, Chen Lao sets out to eliminate both Martha and her protector. While Tomas soils Chen Lao’s already rotten reputation and charges his business partners to reveal his location, Lao makes an entrance. Tomas vows to personally take him down if he ever implicates them once caught. Lao demands that they help him kill Martha lest they all go down.
Armed with the knowledge that her husband is caught up at “work” with his illegal operations, Verna sneaks into Tomas’ study and writes out a check of 15 million pesos only to fund the livelihood program of the patients at the rehab center. Cita is appalled, even to the moment Verna finds a bag of high grade cocaine in her husband’s stash.
Chen Lao tails Tomas. “We’ll just keep following him. For sure, Tomas will lead us to his chemist. And we’ll get the formula for white magic, while Joaquin will lead us to our precious Jade. We’ll hit two birds with one stone.”
Tomas charges Joaquin to find Martha’s safehouse location and relay the info to Chen Lao so he can do whatever he wants with it. “If he succeeds, our problems are solved, but if he fails, then that’s when the contingency plan comes in.”
While Analynne is moping around in her cell, Martha is set to give her statement to the public.
“And once you’re done, we’ll move you to the safehouse,” Cardo says. “And there, you’ll be much safer.”
Having found Martha/Jade’s location, Chen Lao sends out his goons to capture and bring her to him.
“You don’t want us to kill her?” a goon asks foolishly.
“Are you deaf?!” Lao seethes. “I told you. Just bring her to me! I want to kill her!!”
Supts. Delfin and Carreon both give their statements regarding Martha’s involvement with Chen Lao and the drug syndicate. As the reporters start firing questions at Martha, Dely (Analynne’s mother) starts making a scene. The Tuazons, Chen Lao and team Jerome watch the show on TV. Verna mocks her husband with the matter and soon confronts him about the drugs she found in his study. A heated argument ensues.
Upon Martha’s request, Cardo tries to set up a civilized talk between Dely, the Canlaons and Martha. However, things don’t go so well as Dely makes another scene. Cardo consoles Martha as she sobs. A moment later, the men assigned to Martha bring her to the safehouse. One of them, an obvious scum, sends their location to Joaquin the jackass.
Before leaving the safehouse, Cardo gives an officer his cellphone number. Martha thanks him for all his help. Meanwhile, Nelson Wong arrives in the Philippines to help out Lao in his evil machinations. Lao whines nonstop about how he had invested so much in Jade.
“I will help you kill her,” Nelson offers. “So we can save time.”
“No. I will kill her. Alone.”
“You failed to do that the first time.”
“Not this time.”
“So be it. But I’ll be watching.”
Supts. Delfin and Carreon inform Cardo about Chen Lao having been spotted in the country. Meanwhile, Tomas’ goons tail Chen Lao’s henchmen as they head for the safehouse.
“If anything goes wrong, get rid of them all,” Tomas orders the scumbags. “Lao’s men. The police. And Jade.”
Arriving at the safehouse, Lao’s henchmen proceed to take out the officers stationed there. Martha is on edge. Cardo sets out for the location. Unable to reach the officers, Cardo places a call to CIDG headquarters. “I think something’s wrong. The officer watching Martha is not picking up. I’m sure something’s wrong. I’m gonna need backup. They must have found the safehouse.”
Martha retrieves the dead officer’s phone just a moment before she’s captured. Cardo later arrives to find the mess the place is in. Concurrently, the henchmen drag Jade into a Chinese palace. While Cardo is certain that Chen Lao is responsible for Martha’s disappearance, Lao stalks into Martha’s makeshift prison room.
“I missed you, my precious Jade.”
