“This is SP02 Ricardo Dalisay. If you really are Marlon, it’d be better for you to turn yourself in. You’ve both got blood on your hands. You need to pay for the things you’ve done. I never give in to threats, so I’m warning you – you better turn yourself in.”
The CIDG search the Aguilar residence but don’t find anything incriminating, except some family portraits. Cardo asks where their son is but they refuse to talk until an officer comes to announce that someone is running out back. Eventually, Marlon escapes and the CIDG take his parents in.
At CIDG headquarters, the Aguilars are questioned but don’t make any sense with their ramblings. A witness is called in who points them out as the makers of the dynamites. The guy then gives confirmation of the person in the cartographic sketch being Marlon. As Linda creates a scene, Melencio’s heart gives in and he sinks to the floor. He’s taken to the hospital while a desperate Linda is held back.
Cardo tries to get Marlon’s location out of Linda all to no avail. He points her and her son out as the bomb makers, just as Marlon is making another bomb at his hideout.
“It’s better if you cooperate,” Delfin cautions.
“Don’t blame us if something bad happens to your son,” Cardo adds.
Joaquin the jackass informs his father about the situation at the CIDG regarding the Aguilars. Meanwhile, Carreon shows Delfin a case file of the Aguilars having no connections with any rebel group.
“We have to get the whole truth out of Linda and her husband, fast,” Cardo says to Delfin. “Cause as long as their son’s still out there, we will see more people die from these terrible bombings.”
Onyok has a nightmare about his traumatic incident and Cardo consoles and assures him that he’s safe. Meanwhile, Marlon finds out about his father being admitted at the hospital. Later, he follows Charlie and the other goon and soon discovers that the Congressman is their boss. Marlon asks Randolf to have his parents released but the congressman says the case is out of his hands. After getting him to leave, he orders Charlie to shut Marlon up permanently.
Jerome overhears Pinggoy talking about the sketch Alyana had taken a picture of. He confronts her about it. “You had no right to do that. If something bad happens cause that information was released too soon, you’re the one to blame.”
Cardo interrogates Melencio, bringing up the crimes of his wife and son, just as Randolf is ordering Charlie to finish off the Aguilar couple once they’re done with Marlon. Meanwhile, Melencio begins cooperating with the police.
Marlon outsmarts the goons and escapes. Later, some goons posing as nurses get into Melencio’s hospital room and inject a drug into his IV. A legal nurse walks in on them and the scuffle that follows draws Billy’s attention. Cardo goes to back him up and a shootout soon ensues. Vargas, Chikoy and Joaquin also engage the scumbags. Meanwhile, Marlon walks the halls of the hospital as the CIDG sends the scumbags to meet their Maker.
The nurse informs Cardo that the patient has been poisoned. She calls in the doctor who tries to revive him but doesn’t succeed. Marlon finds out about his father’s death and is somewhat torn. Silently, Joaquin the jackass gloats as he stares at Melencio’s dead body, glad that someone has already done his job for him.
Delfin and Cardo inform Linda about her husband’s death. She’s taken to see his remains and eventually starts cooperating, just as Tomas is threatening to call off their deal with the congressman should things turn out worse. The miserable swine laughs at that. <<FF>> Linda reveals the reasons for her crimes and promises to do anything she’s asked of as long as her son is safe.
Cardo arrives home and is glad to learn that Onyok is recovering. Makmak shows him the homework they did recently. Cardo thanks him for helping out. He decides to take the floor while the boy stays with Onyok in bed. As soon as Onyok wakes up, he goes to lie by Cardo’s side on the floor, waking him up in the process.
“I hope that you recover really soon,” Cardo thinks to himself. “And I promise you, I won’t let this happen again. I’ll find the person who did this and make them pay. I’ll find justice for all of the victims. I swear to you, I will.”
The next morning at CIDG headquarters, the officers deliberate on the case. Cardo makes known his certainty of Melencio and Linda not knowing anything about their son’s whereabouts. An officer walks in just then, announcing that there’s an emergency call for officer Dalisay.
Arriving at reception, Cardo picks up the line. “This is SP02 Ricardo Dalisay.”
“This is Marlon Aguilar, officer. Let my mother go.”
“If you really are Marlon, it’d be better for you to turn yourself in,” Cardo offers.
“I’ll never turn myself in,” Marlon retorts.
“You’ve both got blood on your hands. You need to pay for the things you’ve done.”
“Do what I say or more people will die. I won’t think twice about blowing up another place, so you should just let my mother go.”
Cardo is unfazed. “I never give in to threats, so I’m warning you – you better turn yourself in.”
Tentatively, Marlon hangs up and makes a call, blowing up a car outside the office. The officers rush down to the scene. A firetruck soon arrives as Marlon watches the show discreetly.
“Who do you think’s behind this attack?” Delfin wonders out loud.
“It’s Marlon Aguilar, sir,” Cardo declares. “He’s trying to intimidate us so we’ll release his mother.”
“We should not give into the demands of this Marlon Aguilar,” Carreon chimes in.
“What if he doesn’t stop the bombings?” Vargas asks worriedly.
“Let’s just keep doing our jobs,” Delfin states. “We have to be more alert. We will not let him intimidate us. We will not negotiate with this lunatic.”
