Ghanaian international defender, Baba Rahman has helped PAOK Thessaloniki to a historic fourth Greek Super League crown following a 1-2 away win over Aris on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
They beat last year’s winners, AEK Athens, by two points to clinch the coveted Greek title.
Baba Rahman, who already has six goals to his name in the Super League in the 2023–24 season, played full throttle in this championship-clinching encounter at the Kleanthis Vilkelidis.
PAOK took a first-half lead with Brandon Thomas; Aris equalized at the start of the second home with a superb Loren Moron strike, but then came a wonderful team effort by PAOK that started with Giannis Konstantelias and ended with PAOK’s most valuable player of the season, Brazilian midfielder Taison, who scored the goal that won his team the title half an hour before the final whistle.
Despite the sending of PAOK’s Giannins Michailidis on the 78th, Aris was unable to stop the Black-and-Whites from marching on to the title.
