Black Starlets Held By Togo; Ogum Reacts

Date:

The Black Starlets of Ghana played out a thrilling and eventful 1-1 stalemate against Togo at the 2025 WAFU B Zone Championship.

Number 10 shirted skipper for Ghana, Joseph Narbi, stole the plaudits, displaying superb leadership at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium in Yamoussouko.

Narbi handed the Black Starlets the lead just nine minutes into their first game against the under-17 team of Togo.

Togo fought back in the second half to end the day, sharing a point apiece with their opponents after Sultan Ganiou equalized from the penalty spot.

Head coach for the Black Starlets, former Asante Kotoko gaffer, Dr Narteh Prosper Ogum, confessed how impressed he was with the boys despite the draw.

To Dr Ogum, his boys remained control even after going a man down when Gabriel Denyinah was sent off, proving their tough mentality.
