BLACK GALAXIES: Maa-Ud Didi Dramani invites local stars for screening

Date:

The Black Galaxies’ coach, Maa-Ud Didi Dramani, has summoned up a number of players for training and screening at the Prampram-based Ghanaman Center of Excellence.

Here’s a summary of the information provided on the website of the Ghana Football Association:

The screening and training camp will take place at the Ghanaman Center of Excellence in Prampram.

There will be four batches of players, with each batch consisting of 24 players (3 goalkeepers and 21 outfield players).

Each group will stay at the Center of Excellence for three days.

The first batch of players will report on Monday, July 17, 2023, with subsequent batches arriving on the following dates: Wednesday, July 19, 2023 (Second Batch); Sunday, July 23, 2023 (Third Batch); and Wednesday, July 23, 2023 (Fourth Batch).

Each group will have two training sessions and an internal match, with each match comprising three periods of 30 minutes.

Players who are currently part of the Youth teams (U23 and U20) have been excluded from the screening, but they will continue to be monitored.

A comprehensive database has been created to continuously monitor players for potential future recruitment or replacements in the Black Stars team.

The fourth group has been included to allow opportunities for new players, and it includes some of the U-23 players earmarked for potential selection.

Phase Two of the camp will take place in August and will involve selected players from the first two batches camping for two weeks from July 30 to August 14, 2023.

Dates for the third phase will be announced at a later date.
