Mr. Benjamin Nti, the Former administrative manager of Asante Kotoko, has denied reports linking him with the club’s chief executive role.
On Tuesday, there were media reports that former club official Mr. Nti has been considered to replace George Amoako to steer the day-to-day administration of the Asante Kotoko club.
However, Mr. Nti, who currently works with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), has denied the report.
Mr. Nti, speaking to Nana Gyasi Darkwah on the SportsPack 1 show on Max FM 89.7, said “I have also seen the story but there is no truth in it. It’s not true that I am going for the job at Kotoko, I have done my part already for Kotoko others should also do their part,”
“My work at GNPC makes it practically impossible to become the CEO of Asante Kotoko,” he further said.
He also added that “as we speak, I am a director of a club, a premier division club. So how can I be Kotoko’s chief executive. I can’t add that to what I am doing now. I want to only offer any form of support from the background.”
My responsibility at GNPC is wide and reaching and won’t be possible to work in that capacity, Nana my brand for now is huge,” He said.
